Helping your business from stem to stern.
Creative and wide-ranging alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
My employment relations philosophy focuses on preventing disputes, where possible, by achieving clear employment and labour contract language. I also aim to prevent further disputes through careful investigation, with additional research conducted where necessary to provide robust recommendations.
All workplaces are unique. I aim to preserve workplace culture, agreements, and practises where these do not conflict with other obligations. A corollary to this goal: the text of an agreement between employee and employer, in both union and non-union contexts, is inviolable. My role as a neutral party is to apply agreements, not to tamper with them (unless, of course, I am invited to draft an agreement).
investigations
Ensure harmonious employment relations through thorough workplace investigations across human rights, occupational health and safety, and harassment.
CA drafting
Clarity really does cost less up-front: have your collective agreement audited and drafted to avoid ambiguity.
We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities
Adam Smith
The application of the principle of purpose is simple, however difficult it may be to give effect to it. It is to turn industry into a Profession.

A new take on collective agreement drafting for better labour relations
I have not encountered specialized collective agreement drafting on my journey through labour relations. It would be nice to see these professionals become a reality.
